Are we using the correct products names for changelog, announcements etc

Just putting a thought out there, in terms of marketing, products etc.

The brand name is Neos

The Neos project consists of a bunch of project.
For example a framework (product) called Flow
Flow is used to build the CMS product, Neos CMS

Whenever a new release and announced, there is a changelog for Neos and for Flow.

Is this the correct way of announcing the different products - isn’t it suppose to be Neos #whatever# so more project can live under the Neos brand/vendorname

I think it would make sense to refer to the CMS as Neos CMS and Neos Flow for the Framework.

@sorenmalling thx for your feedback. We had a discussion on this whole issue at a sprint in 2016 in Rosenheim. If I remember correctly this was the outcome (@dfeyer, @christianm, @robert, @sebastian? ):

  1. Currently we do not want to use names like CMS or PHP Framework but rather come up with product names, like Flow or Fusion. This is why we do not use CMS currently.

  2. We want to use Neos as a family name e.g. for events or the legal entity (Neos Conference, Neos Foundation) …

  3. … but the family name is a product itself combining all the other products. So you get something like this: Neos Flow + Neos Fusion + … = Neos (which is a product build on all the other products and the community which maintains these products)

This issue seems to be popping up once in a while and we should maybe have another discussion about it.

Or more clearly communicate the above points, especially No. 3
