Custom Javascript Plugin is not executed in Browser

Hello everybody,

I am quite new with Neos and this is actually the first time I am using this forum. Sry in advance if the chosen category is wrong or the provided information is insufficient.

I have the problem that my Javascript Plugin is not executed in Browser (It is not requested acording to the network tab in devTools). For the moment, I just want it to print a console message in the browser devTools to check if it is executed. I have an equal folder structure according to [https://neos.readthedocs.io/_/downloads/en/4.1/pdf/] on page 101. I would have added a third picture but as a newbie I can only insert two media sources at once.

… that doesnt look to bad and dont worry about the category too much ^^

I assume you have run the yarn build command and the resource lies in your public folder?
Then it might be that this is a new package of yours and you need to do ./flow flow:package:rescan issue

If this doesnt solve the issue i would recommend inspecting the head area of the Neos Ui HOST application, there should be the Neos Ui JS itself and among others also your script linked. You can also post the entire head html so i can verify that it looks correct :wink:

First of all, thanks for the answer :slight_smile:

Your assumption is correct. I already run yarn build and my plugin in the packages public folder as a static asset.

Running ./flow flow:package:rescan did not solve the issue. I inspected the head but my script is not embedded. The correct path of my plugin would be “http://localhost:8080/_Resources/Static/Packages/Vcg.Multipage/Multipage/Plugin.js?…”

I just noticed, that you wrote

above, but i hope thats a “typo” in your post - you need to capitalize it. I must be Settings.yaml

If thats not it, i think i need to have a closer look at your project ^^ all my debugging tipps are exhausted - well expect for this:

./flow flow:cache:flush --force

or (across all ApplicationContext)

Actually the thing that I did not capitalised the settings.yaml caused the error. It was indeed a a stupid error from my side :sweat_smile:.
