Activities & Extras
While we haven’t nailed down the exact plans for our evening activities yet, we’ve got some fun ideas brewing! Think a possible pub crawl through the vibrant Dresden Neustadt or maybe a relaxed dinner near the stunning Frauenkirche.
We’re looking forward to welcoming you in Dresden!
today we discussed about our potential attendance. We are at the moment working on a customer neos project where the following features of Neos 9 are really missing. Therefore - if the core team agrees it would be great to tackle one or more of the features. We would join and help as much as we can and we could prepare the sprint by defining user stories and contributing sketches as well.
Interesting features not covered anywhere on github issues:
History module for pages
For content editors there should be a visual possibility to go through all changes done on a certain DocumentType and figure out, who changed it at which point in time and what was exactly changed. This function should be part of neos core.
Restore option
There should be an option to restore older versions of a certain page for content creators.
Trash bin
Once a page is deleted it should first go to a trash bin (if not deactivated in system settings) so editors are able to restore it without the help of a developer. This function should be part of neos core.
We are pretty sure these features would also be highly appreciated by other members of neos community. Maybe we can join forces to push some of them? As we haven’t done core development yet, it will be tough. But we would definitely be in to help.
I would be very interested in a discussion with you and get the input from you and what you learned from your customers, as we granted the Neos funding for our UX project (with primary focus on inline editing) for this year and I started with a bunch of prototypes already.
Especially for the history module I think it might be possible to achieve a helpful “base”-version of a module with a manageable amount of effort. I can imagine something like that would already help the editors and admins.
The trash bin is already in the works and a rough prototype exists in a branch.
