React Neos.UI Content Dimensions selector changed behaviour

Hi,
I noticed that the new neos.ui contenti dimension selector seems basically usable in “1 dimension only” contenxts.
AS I could see & try:

  • There no “apply” button
  • In a “2+ dimensions” context as soon as I choose a value from either of dimensions Neos asks me what I want to do with the new tree to be created (former apply button behaviour), therefore I can’t make any combination of dimensions (breaking even constraints, imo)
  • Assuming the former point adding constraints to the first dimension (as in latest docs) I see only available dimensions. This is actually easily solvable, and to me conceptually more correct, moving constraints on the second dimension.

Is this a wanted behaviour that makes the new UI not backward-compatible (in this use case), a bug, or am I missing something like a configuration somewhere?

That definitely sounds like a bug to me.

Shall I follow usual procedure and open and issue on github or shal I wait for further investigations?
