The project rebrand has been going on for quite some time now.
Since January 2026 we kickstarted a new(ish) group of contributors who try to bring the project live until NeosCon 2026.
Since then a lot of time has already been invested and this funding request is meant for the people who are working on the project but have no company paying for the time they invest.
I (@sebobo) have already spent ~100h in the rebrand project in Q1 2026 with:
- Weekly meetings in #guild-rebrand
- Marketing guild meetings related to the rebrand
- Code reviews of all incoming changes to neos.io
- Work on neos.io content and bugfixes
- Help with onboarding and introduction to the website
I didn’t plan to invest so much time. But as many contributors struggle to stay continuously on the topic, I decided to fill this spot and pause most of my other Neos topics until NeosCon. For me personally the rebrand and an updated neos.io is very important in these times where CMS projects have to show why they are still relevant.
We achieved a lot so far with many components going live on neos.io, a reworked homepage and various translation fixes. Still a lot of work is required for the new navigation and landing pages. Also some updated and especially new components need to be integrated on pages.

Based on what we have available currently in the foundation for funding, this is a request for 20.000€ (200 paid hours) to help cover hopefully most of the additional effort required until NeosCon to achieve our milestones. This budget can also used by other people than me. They should inquire with me as early as possible so I can block part of the budget for them.
After NeosCon we will probably need another budget as we will not be able to finish everything that has been planned for the rebrand in terms of new components, layout changes and content. But it would be great if someone else could take over then.
