Neos Conference 2017 - Claim

I’ve created a konsensierung from a selection of the suggestions above.

As it is my first one I’m not sure if I set it up correctly - this should be the link to it: https://www.konsensieren.eu/5cgtku71a

Seems to open only in FIREFOX

The 26th Jan is for making suggestions, while the 27th is for rating the suggestions. Ideally we should have the least disliked (=best) option by end of Friday.

To learn more about the method “konsensieren” check out: https://www.konsensieren.eu/en/

thanks! But the link doesn’t work for me neither in Chrome, Safari nor Firefox, all I see is a beige page:

Same here. The homepage works but as soon as I try to open your poll everything breaks down and I even get a server error afterwards… What have you done? o.O

I just created another poll for testing and that seems to work in all browsers. Does it work for you, too? https://www.konsensieren.eu/nt9edblxej ?

That whole website seems a bit flaky (I’d love to re-implement that system on neos.io at some point)… I think the problem was that you shared your private personal link.
Make sure to create a public survey:

Or, maybe even better, use the invite tab that sends out personalized links

Here we go: https://www.konsensieren.eu/5cgtku71a (the above link was incorrect).
Unfortunately this link resolves to the german version, but you can switch it to English in the footer “Sprache”

The voting period is open today (only). Use the link to vote for a claim: https://www.konsensieren.eu/5cgtku71a

Here is the result of our konsensierung:

Wait, based on what is this acceptance rating done? I feel this tool works differently than how we discussed konsensierung would work.

I thought it would be the option with the least dislike. I see one option with neither advantages nor disadvantages and one with just an advantage, both should be rated higher than any option with at least one disadvantage?

Or maybe I just didn’t understand the tool  I thought the disadvantage woudl be the vote…

That’s what I thought too, when I saw the results.

It seems to work like this:

  1. Advantages/Disadvantages are comments to the option
  2. the rating is a separate step -> there was a drop-down menu at every option where you could give your dislike score for each

This shows how few votes were actually given to the options:

Ok, I totally didn’t understand that and didn’t vote \o/

Well next time then I guess. :frowning:

Oh, same here…

I have reopened the Konsensierung. Suggestions are open for 30 minutes.

Voting starts at noon (CET) for 24 hours and works like this:

  • at the rights side of every option is a button where you can express your dislike with this option (e.g. the 5 in my screenshot)
  • work through ALL options and give your dislike for every single one

So, here are the results from the second round of voting:

The first two have the same acceptance rating. The first one has 3 really bad votes, where the second one has the majority in the “hm… ok” range.

To me, it would seem that the second one is the better option. What do you think?

i agree

Personally I like the second one better b/c it’s short and provocative.

BUT:

In my opinion the first one goes better with the conference. Read it out loud: Neos Conference - where content meets application. If we talk about the product (or a general talk about) Neos, the second one is really cool: Neos - content’s first choice!

Ok, so
I am the one with the huge minus for the first one. That is a totally personal thing. For me it sounds super cheesy and awkward. Also I knew a place that used a similar slogan (Where Business Meets Tradition) which gives this kind of claim a bad smell forever. But this is again my personal feeling. As both of those have the same rating I wouldn’t mind if you all want to use the first one. I won’t be happy happy, but this is not that important to me, especially as I don’t wear the shirts anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

Due to some personal problems I didn’t find the time to vote.
However I would be in favor of the second one.

I’d have voted for the second too. Anything speaking against a quick formal poll here for the two choices?

There we go:

  • Neos Conference 2017 - where content meets application
  • Neos Conference 2017 - content’s first choice

Open 24 hours…
